CTO Roundtable Q3 2025

Yesterday, we had another inspiring CTO Roundtable Berlin, this time diving into “Agentic AI in Software Development: Beyond Assistance, Towards Autonomy.”

I had the pleasure of moderating a fantastic panel with:

  • Shashi Ravula, Engineering Leader at Zendesk

Together, we explored:

  • What “Agentic AI” means in software development today
  • How larger teams can start experimenting with AI agents and create value
  • Best practices for structuring Agent.md files to improve outputs and model selection
  • How the role of engineers will evolve over the next 2–3 years — not disappearing, but shifting dramatically

My key takeaway

A simple but powerful practice: add prompts in your Agent.md files to ensure documentation updates automatically with changes — and always require engineers to review and be able to explain any AI-generated code.
